I have been struggling, for lack of a better term, with trying to come in under 27 minutes in a 5K running event. My goal was to do this before I reached my new age bracket. All I needed to do was shave 23 seconds off my best time and that would put me crossing the finish line at 26:59.00. How hard can that be? It is only 23 seconds off after all. Well, take a look at the final results from today’s 5k event. Sigh!

On a happy note, I am happy with this time because it is a PR. And this just gives me something strive for on the next race in March when I am in the new age group! I can do this. Afterall, how hard can it be to shave off almost 4 seconds?!
The other happy note is that my PRIMO girl was there and they served fondu for all the runners. And it was the good Ghirardelli Chocolate. Does not get any better than that, now does it!
