About The Barbosa’s
This is Me – The Keeper of Barbosa’s World

*side note: my daughter calls this picture my modeling picture. I will love her forever.
I am a wife, a mother and a friend. First and foremost, I love to watch football. There, I said it. Got that out of the way first. I also love running, cycling and lifting weights. Motorcycles and my 370Z gets my blood boiling. I recently got my motorcycle license back in November of 2010 and finally got my bike a few months later. I love riding my little baby bike. Someday I will move up to a 600. As new rider, my 250 is just fine for now. I love to read just about anything, including my magazines that seem to stack up on me. I enjoy spending time with my family whether it be in the media room watching a movie, in the computer room slaying dragons or out in the Town Square shopping for whatever. I am a lover of all things loud, that is why the media room is my favorite room in the house. The big screen, the 7.1 surround and movies with explosion. That is sheer goodness. I love a night out with my friends enjoying sushi and martinis. A night in shooting pool at the house or playing cards is just as much fun for me. I am extremely competitive and have a hard time keeping it in check sometimes. I struggle with thinking people are judging me all the time. Getting better about that though, thanks to the wonderful man I married back in the 1996. Still going strong, I might add. He is awesome. I have surrounded myself with great people and that is what makes me tick and makes me smile.
This is Aubry – The Daughter of The Keeper of Barbosa’s World

Okay, so first of all, I am twelve years old and LOVIN’ IT!! No matter how old I get, I will always be AUBRY!!! That will never change. The one thing that changes daily is my favorite color. Which I have NO idea why! Usually it’s purple…But sometimes it’s green. My favorite animal is any non-domestic cat besides my cat, Suko! She can be psycho, but we still love her. I’m not a big fan of running, I can’t keep a pace if you paid me for it (okay, maybe if you paid me…), I’m pretty much a launching pad when it comes to sprinting, and I am in 7th grade! I love to play video games, and I love to read. Total opposites!! I type stories all the time, but every day it seems I just make a new one…One of my all-time fave games is ‘Super Mario Bros’ (The NEW one) for the Wii. Another one of my faves is World of Warcraft, an online roleplaying game. The whole family plays (exept for Suko…), but not as much as we used to. My birthday is May 26, 1997. Having a birth-date like mine can kinda suck, because everybody in the same grade as you are older than you!! I have a crazy best friend named Marissa, and she ROCKS. MY. FUZZY. SOCKS. OFF!!! This whole thing is about me, and I hope you enjoyed it! :D
Update: The tween is now a TEEN as of May 26th. Life is grand. :)
Another update: The 12 year old who turned 13 on May 26th in 2010 will be 14 soon. Guess she should really update her bio.
I’m Hunter, head of the Barbosa Café. And this, is a little about me.
Finding new ways to put a smile on my Marcy’s face is the way I want to spend the rest of my life. Watching Aubry laugh puts light in a room that even the sun can’t provide. If it’s in my fridge you can have some. Friends that make it to my house on personal invitation are family. Cats>Dogs. Lifting weights I’ve never dreamed of puts a smirk on my face and I chuckle inside. My personal fitness goal is to weight lift until I’m big enough to look like I don’t belong at a desk job, but still too small to compete. Donning my motorcycle gear gets me all excited because I know I’m about to fire up my R6 and crank out some miles. As long as you’re on 2 wheels and its not a scooter, you can ride with me. Watching sports only works for me when the game is exciting. Stalemates are good form, but they are far to boring for me. When that happens, my backup plan is to save a town from local hoodlums, rescue the damsel, thwart a mad scientists plans for intergalactic domination or melt the Defias Brotherhood while my Void Walker devours their souls. The geek in some of you will know what that’s about. If it breaks… its time for an upgrade. That way it won’t break again (wink). High pass, low pass, 12db per octave, harmonic distortion ratios, recommended RMS, 2V pre-out, these are the things that really make a car stereo sound right. Wine>Beer. I can teach you how to shop for that stuff by the numbers and never get it wrong. I’m the reason “there’s an app for that”. I like gadgets, how they look, how many settings they have, what they do. Why they do them is of no importance. Nitrogen is great for your yard. Just don’t put it on the weeds. Power is absolutely worthless without control. I believe firmly, that an inline 4, front wheel drive anything with a turbo cranking out 400bhp is effing useless in a metroplex. There are much more entertaining ways to compensate. I like to keep my racing either in my media room, or at a go-kart slick track. Don’t underestimate my sneakiness. One day it will cost you. J Two 12” subs and 600RMS watts of power are perfectly acceptable in a car or a media room and I can prove it. M&Ms>Popcorn. I feel that it is more fun to teach something new to someone and then watch them succeed than to do it for them over and over again. Coffee, water, tea, water, N.O. Explode, water protein shake, water… in that order. Metallica and Eminem come after Norah Jones and John Mayer but before Kenny G or Celine Deon. All of those guys are only present if I can’t reach Drag’n’Fly or Infected Mushroom. I’ll accept no whining if you’re not going to do something about it. I would recommend to new friends to take care in what they ask for. I will be happy to share my opinion and or advice on the matter to a fault.
